Heating Up and then some...

Here are a few pictures from the past couple of weeks!  The squash bugs seem to be winning the war!!  YIKES!!  The tomato plants have had a lot of trouble with viruses!  And of course, rain has not been around much!!  We sure could use some!!  Thanks for the pics Ashley!!

Passing the Baton...and then some!

This past couple of weeks has been a whirlwind of activity in preparation for Rod and I to be gone for 18 months (serving a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints...Texas-Dallas East Mission as Self-Reliance Service Missionaries).  So grateful for Ashley Adams taking the helm and keeping the garden going with the help of everyone already involved!!  It's a big job, but easy when there are so many willing helpers!  Thank you from the bottom of my heart!!

This morning we had several youngsters come to learn about the garden and helped with a lot of things.  A small turtle was even spotted and we enjoyed saying hello.

Beets, onions, squash and zucchini all needed picking.  The watermelon, cucumbers and pumpkin plants are growing well.  Some of the tomato plants look like they're struggling but others are doing well with lots of green tomatoes.  It's looking to be like a hot summer, so the garden should thrive!!
