Little Helpers...BIG HELP!!!!

We had an "impromptu" work party this morning because the gal who was supposed to do a bunch of the weeding, and cleaning up didn't show for a couple of days...and it needed done...thus the short notice.

I'm sure it was a difficult time for moms with school kids, weekend stuff to prep for, etc., BUT we had at least TWO adults there at any given time...sometimes THREE!!!  And we had two young helpers who actually really did HELP!!!  (Even though I got a good blister [with gloves!] that popped and peeled the skin off...)

We cleaned out HALF of the beds and walkways...which means we still have HALF left to do!  We also planted green beans, 4 varieties of lettuce, and also spinach!!  Guess what??  We still need to plant beets, carrots and broccoli!!

Clean Up Time...

We spent an hour in the garden and got a lot of bio-mass disposed of.  20 Gold Stars to the crew who "rolled up" the cucumber patch.  That was a LOT of dead and dying plants you took care of...and the garbage collector DID get it shaken out of the trash can!!  Hooray!!
