A week ago (Saturday, October 16, 2021) we had our annual peanut harvest. In one hour we were able to dig up two beds of peanuts, and great workers that stripped off all the peanuts. We got 30 gallons of peanuts!! All the kids participated in the "biggest peanut" challenge and everyone won a candy bar or $1 for the Dollar Store!! (Take a look at the GIANT peanut that won biggest peanut. There was one bush with LOTS of these big boys!!)
The green beans (purple and yellow, too!) are starting to produce well, and the onions, lettuce, spinach and beets are coming right along. With the weather cooling down, nothing is really excited to take off!!
Tomato plants start coming out this week and then we start to hibernate for November and December.
