The garden is loving the cooler weather. The lettuce and spinach are thriving, along with the broccoli, carrots, and beets. There's even a lone zucchini bush that is still producing a few squash for us!!
A hard-working young man needing some community service hours has done a great job of clearing out the cornstalk stubs left from our "Fall FHE Party," and has composted nearly all of the empty beds.
A few of us took the PVC lines off and empty the water so it wouldn't freeze the pipes and break them,..we learned the hard way last year with our hard freezes that we aren't used to!!
So now we'll just continue enjoying the produce from the garden as long as it cares to produce...and then we'll be dormant for a couple of months...until our pea planting party in JANUARY!! Yikes, that's not very far away...happy Winter in Dixie!!
