THIS is the life. . .Dixie Sunshine in Early March!!

Yep, it's March 5th, and the peas are up, the carrots and beets and poking their little sprouts up, the lettuce is on it's way, AND the potatoes are making their presence known!!  And we got some great vitamin D through our skin all while we worked in the garden!!

We have quite a bit more work to do getting all the bubblers put on, but thanks to everyone's help, we have a good start!  We'll do "round 2" on Thursday, March 7th!  Come join the fun!!

THE PEAS ARE UP!!!

We've been anxiously awaiting the first sign of peas...and sure enough they started peaking out on February 11th!!  They just couldn't resist the beautiful St. George sunshine!!  Now they will get (hopefully) a nice drink tomorrow with the forecast-ed rain showers!  We LOVE gardening in Dixie!!

PERFECT PLANTING WEATHER!

Thanks to everyone who helped the past few days to get the garden ready for the initial planting today!!  Even though it was drizzly, we couldn't ask for better weather to plant in, and to help the seeds have the moisture they need to get off to a great start!!  AND it feels SO good to be in the garden!!  Can you believe we're already planting for 2013!!!!  Now it's time to get our OWN gardens going at home!!

YES, IT'S ACTUALLY TIME TO GET STARTED ON THE EARLY SPRING GARDEN!!  It's "winter thaw" in Dixie, so we start tilling the soil and plant the peas, beets, onions, and carrots.  Then we sit back and relax for another month, and drink our hot chocolate!!  LOVE our style of gardening!!
